We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chief Product Officer

Location: Abuja 
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Head the entire product management department, ensuring key roles are being executed;
• Develop product vision, experience and roadmap for the brand and product, and inspire, influence and lead creative teams and cross functional partners;
• Ensure the successful creation of a product that drives brand strategy and vision;
• Recommend product development strategies that generate increased revenue through the sales of new products;
• Conduct research and analysis to gain valuable insights into the target market to continuously evolve product development strategies and deliver improved customer experiences;
• Oversee the entire product innovation process with a problem-solving approach;
• Interview and hire product employees and teams to ensure the best candidates are chosen to maximise value;
• Own the product vision - build customer-centric experiences, delightful product features, and a clear roadmap to drive mass product adoption;
• Lead the strategic planning and prioritisation of product capital spend against budget;
• Establish Key Performance Indicators to track product usage and growth;
• Manage end-to-end product development;
• Own and execute the product portfolio and deployment to market through working collaboratively with cross functional team members;
• Manage, measure and report on the required quality, scope, budget and outcomes of product delivery, to the appropriate stakeholders;
• Ensure overall product portfolio risks and dependencies are clearly managed and communicated;
• Set clear product vision, motivate and inspire team members to deliver exceptional outcomes;
• Identify opportunities to improve effectiveness through Agile, new working practices, collaboration and partnerships;
• Represent Product internally and externally to commercial partners and investors;

Who are we looking for

• The preferred candidate should have extensive experience with product management, agile development methodologies, product launches, scaling, and change management, especially within the Fintech space.
• A track record in setting clear direction and driving high levels of engagement and performance across multidisciplinary teams.
• Leadership experience in communicating product expectations at the executive level.
• In-depth knowledge of payment processing, acquiring technologies, and industry regulations.
• Ability to influence through persuasive verbal and written communication. Entrepreneurial, curious and highly proactive behaviour is essential.
