Job Description

• As the Chief Financial Accountant, you will oversee all financial functions for the hotel, conference center, and spa.
• This role demands a hands-on leader who is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and capable of maintaining financial integrity while driving business growth.
• Your leadership will ensure accurate reporting, strategic financial planning, and regulatory compliance, enabling us to achieve operational excellence and profitability goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team and oversee daily financial operations for the hotel, conference center, and spa.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support senior management in decision-making and long-term planning.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
• Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning financial goals with operational objectives.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate billing, timely payments, and efficient collections.
• Conduct regular financial performance reviews, identifying trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to audit standards.
• Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial assets and resources.
• Supervise payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees, including benefits administration and tax filings.
• Collaborate with department heads to monitor budgets and provide financial guidance for cost-effective decision-making.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to maximize profitability and ensure sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred).
• Membership with ICAN is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
• Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, ideally within a hotel, resort, or conference center setting.
• Proficient in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a finance team.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
