As the Chief Financial Accountant, you will oversee all financial functions for the hotel, conference center, and spa.
This role demands a hands-on leader who is detail-oriented, highly analytical, and capable of maintaining financial integrity while driving business growth.
Your leadership will ensure accurate reporting, strategic financial planning, and regulatory compliance, enabling us to achieve operational excellence and profitability goals.
Responsibilities
Lead the accounting team and oversee daily financial operations for the hotel, conference center, and spa.
Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to support senior management in decision-making and long-term planning.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards.
Develop and manage budgeting and forecasting processes, aligning financial goals with operational objectives.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate billing, timely payments, and efficient collections.
Conduct regular financial performance reviews, identifying trends, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for operational improvement.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring accurate financial reporting and adherence to audit standards.
Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company’s financial assets and resources.
Supervise payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate compensation for employees, including benefits administration and tax filings.
Collaborate with department heads to monitor budgets and provide financial guidance for cost-effective decision-making.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies to maximize profitability and ensure sustainable growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred).
Membership with ICAN is mandatory.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, ideally within a hotel, resort, or conference center setting.
Proficient in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in the hospitality industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a finance team.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present financial information effectively to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
