Job Title: Video Editor

Location: Wuye, Abuja (FCT)

Description

• The Video Editor is responsible for editing and assembling recorded footage into a polished, engaging final product that aligns with the brand’s vision and marketing objectives.
• This role involves working closely with the media and creative teams to deliver high-quality video content for various platforms, ensuring consistency in style and messaging, while driving audience engagement and promoting brand visibility.

Key Roles / Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head of Media, content creators, and designers to develop video content that complements the brand’s storytelling, ensuring all media elements (visuals, sound, and special effects) are synchronized and optimized.
• Edit raw footage into coherent, engaging video content, ensuring the final product is visually appealing, aligned with brand standards, and effectively communicates the intended message across digital platforms and campaigns.
• Use video editing software to enhance visual and audio components of video footage, including color correction, sound mixing, and motion graphics, ensuring a professional and high-quality output for all video content.
• Modify and format video content to suit different platforms (social media, websites, presentations), ensuring that videos are optimized for each platform's technical specifications and audience preferences.
• Keep up with the latest video editing techniques, software, and industry trends, applying new skills and approaches to improve video content quality and effectiveness continually.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years experience.
• Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
• Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques
• Knowledge of motion graphics, color correction, and audio mixing
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with creative teams
• Familiarity with video content optimization for various digital platforms
