Network of People Living with HIV and AIDS in Nigeria (NEPWHAN) was established in 1998 as a non-governmental Organization to serve as a collective voice of PLHIV in the Country. The Organization is registered with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria in September 2004.
NEPWHAN is now Seventeen (17) Years Old as a vibrant patient community network in Nigeria. The network formed since 1998 has established structures at the zonal and all States including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and as well saddled with the responsibility of coordinating, supervising and monitoring activities and programs of over 1, 030 support groups membership across the Federation making it one of the biggest Patient network in Africa. Our GOALNEPWHAN has formed constituent bodies; Association of Youth Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (APYIN), Association of Women Living with HIV/AIDS in Nigeria (ASWHAN), Association of Religious Leaders Living with and Personally Affected by HIV/AIDS (NINERELA+) to advocate and provide HIV programming intervention for the specific needs of their targets and members.

Project Background
The Global Fund (GC7) Community and Private-Public-Mix Expansion in TB and HIV Prevention, Diagnostic and Treatment Services (N-THRIP) project is a three (3) year grant implemented through IHVN as Principal Recipient in the Four state (Anambra, Ebonyi, Gombe and Kwara).
NEPWHAN, as a Sub-Recipient, is charged with the responsibility of implementing the community AGYW component of the grant in Ebonyi and Kwara States.
NEPWHAN provides technical support and implement the community component of AGYW of the grant in Ebonyi and Kwara state through AGYW specific community-based organizations (CBOs) situated in the states providing all prevention and HIV services to the community group in their assigned LGAs in the state.
NEPWHAN through the AGYW CBOs is addressing service barriers through the design and wide dissemination of high-quality, age-appropriate, innovative and user-friendly HIV/SRH information, education and communication (IEC) materials through diverse outlets and platforms, strengthening school-health-community integration and linkages and use of context-specific innovative service provision approaches/platforms.
These interventions will improve access to context-appropriate services for this age group that will result in reducing new infections, achieving UNAIDS 95:95:95 goals through identification of adolescent girls and young women living with HIV, linking, and retaining them in care to ensure viral suppression.
Description of Consultancy:
The digital expert consultant will be responsible for the development of innovative and engaging digital tools to support HIV prevention among adolescents and young people.
Their key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Content Strategy Development: Create a comprehensive content strategy for IEC materials focusing on HIV prevention, care, and treatment for adolescents and young people, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and the needs of the target audience.
Digital Material Creation: Design and develop a variety of digital assets, including infographics, videos, animations, and interactive presentations, that are visually appealing and educational.
Health Education Content Development: Generate engaging, accurate, and culturally appropriate content tailored to TB/HIV health education, prevention, and awareness campaigns.
User Experience Optimization: Ensure all digital tools and materials are user-friendly, intuitive, and provide a seamless user experience for the target demographic.
Multimedia Integration: Incorporate diverse multimedia elements—such as images, videos, audio, and interactive features—to enhance the interactivity and engagement of the materials.
Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including program officers, health educators, and designers, to ensure messaging consistency, adherence to organizational branding, and effective implementation of digital tools.
Feedback and Iteration: Gather feedback from stakeholders and target audiences to refine and improve digital tools, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
Training and Capacity Building: Provide guidance or training to staff on utilizing the developed digital tools effectively and integrating them into broader HIV prevention initiatives.
This role demands a creative, collaborative, and strategic approach to developing impactful digital solutions that resonate with young audiences while promoting health education and behavior change.
Specific Deliverables
Based on the activities listed above, the consultant is expected to produce or accomplish the following:
Participate in meetings with program technical staff to understand design needs and expectations.
Work closely with the AGYW lead and Communications Lead in producing visually engaging assets like infographics, videos, animations, and interactive materials tailored to young audiences.
Work with AGYW lead and Communications Lead to craft accurate, culturally sensitive content for TB/HIV prevention and awareness campaigns targeting adolescents and young people.
Work with AGYW lead and Communications Lead to adapt/adopt stakeholder and audience input to refine and improve tools for greater impact and relevance.
Partner with AGYW implementing teams to ensure consistent messaging, branding alignment, and effective implementation.
Package and support in circulating the publications to range young audiences via NEPWHAN and partners social media channels to raise the NEPWHAN positive public profile and visibility.
Support the AGYW lead and Communications Lead to produce print-ready versions of the final report and publications in PDF, MS Word, JPEG, MPEG formats and other compatible formats for press production and circulation at dissemination meetings and upload to all supported social media channels.
Qualification
M.Sc Degree in Business Administration with 7 - 10 years of experience.
