Job Description
The Producer of the Television Breakfast Show is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of a high-profile, live daily television program.
This role requires an experienced media professional with a proven track record in delivering engaging, informative, and entertaining content that resonates with the target audience.
The successful candidate will lead a talented team and collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure the smooth and successful production of the breakfast show.
Responsibilities
Oversee the conception, development, and production of the daily television breakfast show, ensuring the content aligns with the organization’s editorial vision and strategic objectives.
Manage the end-to-end production process, including program ideation, guest booking, script development, studio coordination, and live broadcast execution.
Lead and inspire the production team by providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality content within tight deadlines.
Collaborate closely with the host(s), talent, and other on-air personalities to create a seamless and engaging on-screen experience.
Develop and implement innovative content strategies that effectively engage the target audience, drive viewership, and enhance the breakfast show's position in the market.
Analyze audience metrics, industry trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for content optimization and growth.
Manage the production budget and resources to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations while maintaining the highest production standards.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, digital, and distribution, to ensure effective promotion and distribution of the breakfast show content across multiple platforms.
Serve as the primary liaison with external partners, such as sponsors, production companies, and industry organizations, to explore new opportunities and strengthen relationships.
Continuously seek ways to enhance the production workflow, leverage new technologies, and explore creative approaches to captivate the audience.
Mentor and develop the production team by identifying and nurturing talent, and implementing training and development programs to build a strong, future-ready workforce.
Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in television production, with a proven track record of leading successful breakfast shows or similar live programming.
Demonstrated expertise in content strategy, program development, and live production management, with a deep understanding of the evolving media landscape.
Strong technical knowledge of the entire production process, from ideation to live broadcast, with the ability to leverage emerging technologies and workflows to enhance efficiency and innovation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly and make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, live television environment.
Passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of audience preferences and consumption habits across various platforms.
