Job Summary

• The News Presenter / Anchor is responsible for delivering compelling, accurate, and informative news content to the target audience through a live daily television news bulletin.
• This role requires an experienced media personality with a proven track record of captivating viewers, maintaining journalistic integrity, and serving as the trusted face and voice of the news program.
• The successful candidate will work closely with the production team to ensure the smooth and seamless delivery of the news program.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-air host for the live daily television news bulletin, delivering news stories, interviews, and reports with authority, clarity, and precision.
• Collaborate with the production team to review news scripts, research topics, and prepare for the live broadcast, ensuring accurate and up-to- date information is presented to the audience.
• Demonstrate strong journalistic skills, including critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and the ability to provide insightful commentary and analysis on a wide range of news topics.
• Build a strong rapport with the audience, showcasing a professional, poised, and credible on-screen presence that enhances the credibility and trustworthiness of the news program.
• Assist in the development and implementation of innovative news strategies that drive audience engagement, increase viewership, and strengthen the news program's position in the market.
• Contribute to the overall brand and image of the news program, serving as a key ambassador and spokesperson for the organization.
• Actively participate in the promotion of the newsprogram through various media channels, including social media, public appearances, and cross-promotional initiatives.
• Maintain a deep understanding of audience preferences, industry trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for content optimization and growth.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure the seamless integration of graphics, pre- recorded segments, and other production elements.
• Adhere to the organization's journalistic standards, editorial guidelines, and on-air protocols to uphold the integrity and reputation of the news program.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for the production team, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a television news presenter or anchor, with a proven track record of delivering successful news programs.
• Exceptional on-camera presence and communication skills, with the ability to convey news content with authority, clarity, and emotional intelligence.
• Strong journalistic skills, including research, interviewing techniques, and the ability to provide insightful analysis on a wide range of news topics.
• Demonstrated ability to think quickly, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain composure in a live television news environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting.
• Proficiency in using various production equipment and technologies, including teleprompters, lighting, and audio systems.
• Commitment to upholding the highest journalistic standards, ethical principles, and a genuine passion for delivering accurate and impactful news content to the audience.
