Job Description
The Head of Communication and Public Relations is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communication strategy to enhance the brand and reputation of a leading media conglomerate. With a minimum of 10 years of managerial experience, the successful candidate will leverage their expertise to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the media, government agencies, host communities, religious organizations, and regulatory bodies. Serving as the primary spokesperson for the organization, this role effectively communicates the company’s vision, initiatives, and achievements to both internal and external audiences.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a managerial role within communication and public relations, preferably in the media or broadcasting industry.
Demonstrated success in developing and executing strategic communication plans that enhance an organization's brand, reputation, and public engagement.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences and represent the organization effectively in various forums.
Strong media relations skills, including the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with journalists, media outlets, and other influential stakeholders.
Proficiency in crisis communication and reputation management, with a proven ability to respond swiftly and effectively to potential issues or negative publicity.
Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring a team of communication and public relations professionals, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
In-depth understanding of the media landscape, including trends, regulations, and best practices in communication and public relations.
Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams—such as marketing, programming, and operations—to ensure consistent and aligned communication across the organization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to measure the effectiveness of communication initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
Commitment to staying updated on the latest communication and public relations tools, technologies, and strategies, with a focus on innovation and impact enhancement.
