Job Summary
The Business Development Officer will play a key role in driving the growth and expansion of Salpha Energy.
Working closely with the National Sales Manager and the sales department, the officer will identify and develop business opportunities, manage relationships with partners, and contribute to achieving the company’s strategic sales goals.
This role requires a proactive and innovative individual with strong communication, planning, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, trends, and potential customers.
Analyze market data to support the development of targeted sales strategies.
Business Strategy Development:
Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to create and implement strategic business development plans.
Identify opportunities for market penetration and revenue growth.
Partnership Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, including microfinance banks, cooperatives, and corporate clients.
Negotiate and finalize agreements that align with Salpha Energy’s business objectives.
Sales Support:
Work closely with the sales team to achieve revenue targets.
Provide support in developing sales pitches, presentations, and proposals.
Track and report on sales performance metrics.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
Provide feedback from partners and customers to improve product offerings and services.
Training and Development:
Organize training sessions for partners to enhance their understanding of Salpha Energy’s products and services.
Support team members in improving sales techniques and strategies.
Performance Reporting:
Prepare regular reports on business development activities, market trends, and competitor analysis.
Present insights and recommendations to management for informed decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in the renewable energy or trading sector.
Skills:
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Strong presentation and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Ability to analyze market data and generate actionable insights.
Willingness to travel extensively and work in a fast-paced environment.
