About the Job

• As a Senior Java Developer at our B2B SaaS Fintech outfit, your main purpose will be to build functional and efficient server-side applications.
• Leveraging your expertise in Java development, you will play a crucial role in creating innovative solutions that meet the complex needs of our financial technology platform.

Reporting Structure:

• You will report to the Head of Software Engineering, who will provide guidance and support as you work towards achieving project goals and meeting client requirements
• The Head of Software Engineering will offer mentorship and opportunities for professional growth, ensuring that you stay at the forefront of cutting-edge technologies and industry best practices.

• Your role as a Senior Java Developer significantly contributes to our organization's success by driving the development of robust and scalable server-side applications.

• In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will help shape the future of our product and maintain our competitive edge in the dynamic financial technology landscape.

Responsibilities

• Building efficient server-side (back-end) features in Java (Spring Boot) – APIs
• Manage testing and bug fixes
• Integrating front-end components into applications
• Help design and implement functional requirements
• Checking code from other developers and coaching junior team members
• Participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Create high-quality products that meet customer needs.
• Prepare technical documentation
• Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements.

Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
• Solid experience as Java Developer
• Experience with Spring Boot Framework, and Hibernate
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Open Shift and REST API
• Understanding of databases and SQL
• Knowledge of C#, NodeJS, Python and React is a plus.
• Attention to detail.
• Leadership skills.
