Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified and detail-oriented Management Accountant to support the Managing Director in managing day-to-day operations, with a strong focus on management accounting and financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports, including variance analysis and commentary for the MD's review
Develop and maintain budgeting systems, preparing annual budgets and forecasts for all business units
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed business initiatives and provide recommendations to the MD
Implement and maintain internal control systems to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), preparing detailed reports on business performance metrics
Support strategic decision-making through financial modeling and scenario analysis
Manage the MD's calendar and coordinate high-level meetings with stakeholders
Assist in the preparation of board meeting materials, including financial presentations and performance reports
Lead the preparation of cost analysis for new product lines and distribution routes
Monitor cash flow and working capital management, providing regular updates to the MD
Analyze operational efficiency and suggest process improvements based on financial data
Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and changes in accounting regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics
Must possess Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) certification
Age: Not more than 35 years
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
Membership in the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is an added advantage
