Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the SHE Centre, ensuring that administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who is dedicated to providing quality administrative support to help the centre achieve its mission of empowering and nurturing adolescents in the community.
The Clerk will provide administrative and clerical support to the SHE Centre, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
The Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, assisting with data entry, coordinating schedules, and providing general office support to staff and clients.
Qualifications and experience
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in office administration or related field is a plus.
Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a community or youth-focused organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other office software.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Knowledge of youth development principles and practices is an advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to articulate results and recommendations of analysis to a variety of audiences within the organization (for example, laterally across peers, upwards to senior management).
Strong written and verbal communications skills combined with the ability to work collaboratively with program staff and stakeholders across organizational boundaries
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, to be able to accept and discharge substantial responsibilities, to prioritize work assignments, to meet deadlines, and to exercise professional judgment.
Exhibits a positive and professional demeanor in and outside of the workplace that exemplifies and furthers the mission, vision and values of the program.
