Job Description

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager (Male)to lead and oversee critical operational functions in our Food and Logistics Company.
• The ideal candidate will ensure smooth workflows, effective resource allocation, and adherence to safety and operational standards while driving productivity and efficiency across terminal operations.
• This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in logistics and a proven track record of managing complex operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage daily operations, including cargo handling (air and sea), ensuring timely and efficient execution of tasks.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety and environmental regulations across all operations.
• Lead and supervise terminal staff, providing clear communication of goals, tasks, and expectations.
• Establish and implement structured workflows to improve organizational efficiency.
• Foster relationships with shipping lines, logistics providers, and key stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness.
• Analyze operational performance metrics, identifying and implementing improvements to optimize processes and reduce delays.
• Develop, enforce, and monitor adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure operational safety and reliability.
• Address operational challenges and emergencies proactively, ensuring minimal disruption to activities.
• Prepare detailed reports on operational performance and provide insights to senior management for strategic planning.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics, shipping, terminal operations, or a related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (professional certifications are an advantage).
• Minimum of 2nd Class Lower.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve operational goals.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for seamless collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Google Suite is a plus.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

Working Hours:

• Monday - Friday:8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Saturday:9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Salary
N200,000 monthly.
