Job Title: Head, Brand and Corporate Communication

Job Summary
Plan, develop and direct Marketing Communication efforts to increase the value and performance of brands within the business.
Drive up awareness for products and services as well as support business development initiatives through strategic and creative concepts.
Manage the organization’s interface with the media, other corporate entities and the public/society at large ensuring the brand plays by acceptable national/ international media standards.
Drive increased brand perception and right positioning for the brand across in the industry that will motivate users of the brand.
Responsibilities
Development of the organization’s Brand Strategy, governing all communications in a manner that reinforces the key brand benefits, encouraging consumers to make the organization their first Choice.
Provide strategic brand support and make recommendations on brand building initiatives to drive brand growth and performance.
Achieve cross-functional co-operation across all brand related activities, creating a smooth flow of Brand Information, ensuring satisfaction for internal and external stakeholders.
Manage advertising campaigns, events and sponsorships in accordance with NAICOM, APCON and other regulatory body policies.
Manage efforts internally and externally to ensure successful implementation of projects
Work hand – in – hand with HCM to develop and send out Internal Communication.
Take ownership of internal branding across all channels, in line with HCM.
Bring the vision, mission and values of the company to life among Internal and External Stakeholders.
Ensure that the Brand guidelines are adhered to on all Brand materials nationwide to ensure consistency across markets and regions.
Compliance with regulatory standards and requirements as it relates to branding
Media Strategy, planning and Implementation for Digital Marketing, TV, Radio and press, Out of home, All other relevant communication channels
Manage advertising and media planning agencies, assessing their input to the strategy and execution of campaigns.
Build a sustainable relationship with media agencies on Crisis management and communication which would ensure appropriate management of negative and/or reputation issues
Provide strategic branding support for the implementation of corporate marketing campaigns.
Ownership and management of Brand creative material development process using approved agencies and third-party suppliers.
Collation and proper dissemination of needed product information alongside all stakeholders (both internal and external) to achieve seamless Synergy
Investigate, recommend and execute initiatives to drive stakeholder understanding of products and services.
Ensure relevance of all communication initiatives in the market and at the various POS.
Implement and ensure complete understanding of the organization brand culture and philosophy both within and outside the organization.
Support the brand through CSR initiatives
Track, report and analyse brand performance monthly; identify gaps and make recommendations as required.
Prepare campaign pre & post evaluations briefs and deliver as required, to ensure identified targets are met per campaign
Manage the Supply Chain Management process end to end to ensure quality standards are met within reasonable cost production boundaries in an efficient process which does not compromise stipulated timelines.
Budget control, management and tracking to ensure budget optimization.
Directly manage the advertising agencies and partners to ensure proper output and turnaround time on all projects.
Ensure regulatory compliance on all advertising materials to enable the organization stays on the good side of the related regulatory bodies.
Conduct regular financial reconciliation with the Agency to ensure timely payments due (agency fees and other ancillary payments) are made.
Conduct bi-annual agency evaluations and prepare required documentation as it affects all stakeholders.
Weekly, monthly and Quarterly Reports to the Head of Sales & Marketing.
Requirements
Degree or Higher Diploma in Mass Communication, Advertising or any related field
Masters in business administration is an added advantage
Additional qualification, dependent on experience
7-10 years cognate work experience in a Brands and Stakeholder Management, Corporate Communications, Marketing Communications or Account Management roles.
Project Management experience would be an added advantage
Member of a professional body that regulates advertising and/or Marketing – APCON, CIM, etc.
Certification from relevant Brand Management or Marketing Communications courses
Understanding of all aspects of Brand Management and Corporate Communications which includes, but will not be limited to media, brand activation and digital campaigns.
A clear understanding of how brands operate
Excellent understanding of the full marketing mix.
