We seek a Senior IT Managerto join our senior leadership team.
The ideal candidate will oversee and direct all aspects of our organization's information technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations.
Candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that our software and hardware operations are integrated, aligned with the organization'soverall goals, and functioning cohesively.
Job Description & Responsibilities
Strategic IT Leadership:
Develop and implement the organization’s overall IT strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Provide leadership and guidance to both the IT Manager for Software and the IT Manager for Hardware, ensuring coordination between software development, system operations, and infrastructure.
Continuously evaluate and adjust the IT strategy based on changing technology trends, business requirements, and emerging risks.
IT Governance and Policy:
Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards for both software and hardware management.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices, including data security, privacy, and risk management.
Oversee budgeting and expenses for both hardware and software initiatives, resource allocation, and vendor management related to IT.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
Act as a liaison between IT and other departments (e.g., HR, finance, operations) to understand business needs and ensure IT is providing effective solutions.
Collaborate with executive management (CEO, ED, GM) to ensure IT investments are aligned with corporate goals and priorities.
Innovation and Technology Management:
Stay informed about emerging technologies and recommend innovations that could enhance business efficiency, improve security, or reduce costs.
Lead digital transformation initiatives and ensure that the organization stays competitive through technological advancement.
Performance and Operations Oversight:
Oversee the performance and operational effectiveness of both hardware and software management teams, ensuring systems run smoothly, are scalable, and meet business needs.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of IT systems, including network infrastructure, servers, and applications.
Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure IT performance and identify areas for improvement.
Team Management and Development:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and innovation.
Identify skill gaps and manage professional development programs for IT staff, including the IT Managers for software and hardware.
Incident Management and Risk Mitigation:
Oversee the identification and management of IT risks, ensuring disaster recovery, business continuity, and data protection plans are in place.
Ensure the IT infrastructure is resilient, secure, and protected against threats (e.g., cyberattacks, data breaches, system failures).
Lead and coordinate IT responses to major incidents, ensuring quick recovery and minimal disruption.
Budgeting and Resource Management:
Develop and manage the IT department's budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Make informed decisions regarding the purchase of software, hardware, and IT services in coordination with the IT Managers.
Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with key IT vendors, including those providing hardware, software, cloud services, and consulting.
Negotiate contracts and ensure vendors meet performance and service-level expectations.
Reporting and Communication:
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of IT projects, system performance, cybersecurity risks, and any potential issues or challenges.
Prepare and present reports to the executive team or board on IT performance, strategic initiatives, and budget performance.
Skills and Qualifications
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, and people management abilities.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to align IT with organizational goals and drive long-term technology planning.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of both software (e.g., development, applications, cloud platforms) and hardware (e.g., infrastructure, networks,servers).
Financial Acumen: Experience in budgeting and resource management.
Risk Management: Strong background in cybersecurity, risk mitigation, and
disaster recovery planning.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Salary
N300,000 - N450,000 Monthly.
