Job Title: Human Resources / Operations Lead

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • Our client is seeking a dynamic and highly organized HR/Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, manage human resources functions, and supportbusiness development initiatives for the Firm.
  • This role is pivotal in ensuring the firm operates efficiently, maintains a strong team culture, and grows its client base in alignment with our strategic goals.
  • The candidate will work directly with the Managing Partner of the Firm.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:

  • Oversee the firm’s daily administrative functions to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement and optimize processes for case management, client intake, and internal workflows.
  • Manage office technology and systems, ensuring all tools are up-to-date and functioning effectively.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-efficiency.

Human Resources:

  • Lead recruitment efforts for legal and administrative roles, ensuring alignment with the firm’s culture and needs.
  • Develop and implement onboarding and training programs for new hires.
  • Manage employee performance evaluations, providing feedback and development plans.
  • Handle payroll, benefits administration, and ensure compliance with labor laws and policies.
  • Foster a positive workplace environment that supports employee engagement and retention.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the firm’s client base, including networking, partnerships, and referrals.
  • Develop and execute marketing initiatives, such as email campaigns, social media, and event sponsorships.
  • Track and analyze business development metrics to assess the effectiveness of growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to prepare proposals, pitches, and other client-facing materials.

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the firm’s strategic goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction.
  • Act as a liaison between management, staff, and clients to ensure open communication and alignment.

Financial Oversight:

  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets and financial planning.
  • Monitor and report on operational expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Support the firm’s billing and collections processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law, Human Resources, or a related field; advanced degree or certification is a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in operations, HR, or business development, preferably ( but not mandatorily)in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of law firm operations and business development strategies, is preferable but not mandatory
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in legal management software and office productivity tools.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Salary
N250,000 - N300,000 / Month.
