Job Title: Principle Multi-Discipline Inspector
Location: Nigeria
Responsibilities
Issuing of Quality Assurance Plan, Inspection & Test Plan, NDT plan, NDT procedure, PMI, Hardness, Ferrite, PWHT, Hydro test, surface preparation and painting procedures as per requirement.
Vendor/contractors documents review (ITP,WPS, PQR, and MT, PT, RT, VT, UT , PMI, Hardness, PWHT, Repair, Surface preparation, hydro test and painting procedures)
Coordination with Vendors & TPI agencies.
Involved inspection activities of equipment fabrication, erection, installation & shutdown for following
Equipment’s at shop & site as per ASME, BS EN and AWS & Owner specification for special requirement.
Involved to carry out stage wise fabrication inspection activities at vendor- fabrication shop. (Document covered QAP/ITP/WPS/PQR/NDE procedures/Welder qualification/blasting & painting & dossier)
Inspection of vessels internal tray supports ring by laser alignment and internal trays. Thickness survey or laminations check on Static equipment’s Crude/Aromatics/FCC unit under operation.
Witness of PWHT and Hardness testing. NDE mock up blocks Design review, Blocks Fabrication and NDE of fabrication. Witnesses of dry MT application on intermediates weld runs in preheat condition. RT film review.
Developed QA/QC documents & test packs and worked on final submissions
Ensuring daily coordination for regular inspection with Consultants & Clients
Mentoring the Contractor Quality Team for consumable controls like re-drying, storage and electrodes management.
Preparing and qualifying the site required WPS & PQR and WQT
Conducting Hydro testing of piping and Equipment’s.
Administered grit blasting, profile checking, peel test, holiday detection test &inspection of field joint coating.
Maintaining of Quality Records and Reporting Of Quality Activities.
Liaison with Company on Quality Related Matters. Coordinate With Third Party Inspector, AI & Client Representatives.
Identify Root Cause Analysis, Follow Up of Corrective Action Report and Effectively Close Out of Non-Conformances When Occur and Facilitate Timely Solution.
Review and Monitoring Sub-Contractors Quality Systems and Quality Performance.
Participate In Weekly Quality Review Meeting.
Inspection & Review of All Incoming Material Received At Site & Verify The Material Test Certificates In Accordance With TDC (Technical Delivery Condition) & Project Requirements.
Familiar in reading / review of GA & Fabrication drawings and interpreting weld symbols.
Performing Painting Consumable Receiving Inspection, Review of Batch Certificates of Abrasive & Paint Consumables. Performing Inspection of Surface Preparation, Salt Contamination Test, Dust Tape Test and Surface Profile Measurement with Replica Tape & Micrometre. Analysing & Reporting Atmospheres Condition Before & During Surface Preparation As Well As Painting Application. Performing In Process Inspection of Various Painting/Coating Application, Curing Hardness Test, DFT Measurement, Holiday Test, and Adhesion Test. Preparing Painting Inspection Reports In Accordance With Applicable Painting Procedure
Experience
A minimum of 8 years’ experience at a fabrication or construction site in Quality Inspection, working in a multi-discipline role supporting disciplines noted below including, mechanical completion, systems completions, installation, hook- up, commissioning and start-up of onshore and / or offshore facilities.
BSc in Engineering related discipline
Experience is required in at least 3 of the following disciplines and must be within the last 3 years.
5 plus years’ experience in any of the following positions (Mechanical Technician, Engineer - Mechanical, Construction, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation; Foreman – Structural, Welding, Mechanical, Coating and E&I).
For welding, NDE and coating disciplines, evidence of certification in the following: AWS-CWI or SCWI or CSWIP or equivalent, level II/III in Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Ultrasonic and Radiography in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A and NACE Level I/II/III or equivalent respectively.
Knowledgeable in reading civil, structural, piping, E&I and other related drawings and schematics. Knowledgeable in industry codes and standards related to relevant disciplines.
Must be proficient in the use of common PC software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) Read, write and speak English fluently.
Responsible for QC Surveillance according to the Project Quality Plan and site Surveillance Plan. Develop daily/weekly reports, perform verifications (witness and hold points), witness tests and perform final Quality checks in accordance with the approved Inspection & Test Plans.
BOSIET / FOET and current Offshore Medical Certificate.
Qualified to travel offshore.
