We are seeking a dedicated and professional Pharmacy Nurse to work closely with the pharmacy team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in assisting with the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, ensuring patient safety, and delivering quality healthcare services.
Additionally, the pharmacy nurse will assist in growing the pharmacy by providing excellent customer service, managing medication counseling, and supporting various clinical services.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the pharmacy team in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
Provide medication counseling to patients on proper use, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
Conduct patient assessments to ensure safe and effective medication therapy management.
Administer vaccines and other clinical services as needed.
Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to manage patient care.
Ensure adherence to all regulatory and safety standards.
Monitor patient records and maintain proper documentation.
Promote health education and awareness within the community.
Support the growth and development of the pharmacy, including customer retention and acquisition strategies.
Participate in training and development programs to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
Educational Qualifications
A valid Nursing qualification (RN or BSN).
Certification in Pharmacy Nursing (or equivalent).
Any additional certification in pharmacology or related areas is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working as a pharmacy nurse or in a clinical pharmacy setting.
Experience in working with patients, counseling, and administering medications.
Prior experience in a pharmacy or healthcare environment is highly desirable.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and patient safety.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain medical information to patients in a clear and understandable manner.
Ability to work well within a team and independently.
Proficiency in medication administration, including vaccines and injections.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate and patient-focused approach to healthcare.
Other Requirements:
Must reside close to the pharmacy area (Apo, Gaduwa, Gudu, or surrounding environments).
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if required.
Professional demeanor and a strong work ethic.
Must possess a valid nursing license and be in good standing with the regulatory board.
Remuneration
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications (N80,000 - N100,000 monthly).
