Job Summary
We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our team as part of our renowned and award-winning music publishing company.
We are looking for a Creative Assistant with a solid understanding of the media industry, particularly in sync licensing, to support our library’s efforts in licensing music for TV, films, advertising, and more.
This role is ideal for an outgoing, sociable individual passionate about music across genres, with a strong interest in the sync and media industries.
Key Responsibilities
Global Media & Social Media Management: Develop and implement strategies across various media and social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.), targeting a global audience of media creators, editors, producers, and music supervisors. Content will be reviewed by senior staff before publication.
Content Creation: Design visually appealing graphics, infographics, and short-form videos to promote our artists and campaigns to an international audience.
Video Production: Collaborate with the team to brainstorm, film, and edit promotional videos and artist showcases. Training will be provided.
Administrative Support: Organise files, manage schedules, and assist with data entry to ensure projects and artist collaborations stay on track.
Product Coordination: Support the release of albums on streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, ensuring smooth execution.
Industry Research & Marketing: Stay informed on trends in the media, digital marketing, sync licensing, and the global music scene (especially electronic dance and urban music) to inform promotional strategies.
Key Requirements
Media Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with media platforms (e.g., Netflix, Amazon Prime, Sky) and sync licensing is a strong plus.
Social Media Expertise: Proficient in managing campaigns across social platforms, with a focus on engaging an international audience in the sync and media industries.
Creativity & Visual Flair: Demonstrated ability to create high-quality, visually captivating content, particularly for genres like electronic dance, hip-hop, and other music styles.
Strong Communication Skills: High proficiency in written and spoken English, enabling effective communication with global industry professionals and audiences.
Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines, ensuring all clerical and project-related work is completed on time.
Sociable & Outgoing: A team-oriented, personable individual who enjoys connecting with colleagues, clients, and artists, and is eager to learn about the sync and media industries.
Passion for Music: A deep appreciation for diverse music genres, including both African and Western styles.
BSc / HND with 3 - 4 years of experience.
Role Details
Duration: Full-Time (40 hours per week, flexible schedule)
Initial Period: 30-day trial with potential for long-term development
Future Potential: The role may expand to include responsibilities within Nigeria, working with local artists and representing the company in the region.
Salary
N250,000 - N400,000 monthly.
