Job Description

• A fashion operations manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the production, distribution, and logistics of a fashion company's products.
• This may include managing inventory levels, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that orders are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner.

Your specific tasks and responsibilities that a fashion operations manager must have:

• Developing and implementing strategies to optimize production and supply chain processes
• Managing budgets and controlling costs associated with production and logistics
• Monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency
• Overseeing the development and implementation of new products or collections
• Collaborating with design and production teams to ensure that products are developed and produced efficiently and to the highest quality standards
• Managing the production schedule and coordinating with various departments to ensure that all necessary tasks are completed on time
• Identifying and implementing new technologies and systems to improve efficiency and productivity
• Collaborating with the finance team to prepare and manage budgets and financial projections
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the production and logistics processes
• Coordinating with the marketing and sales teams to develop and implement promotional campaigns and sales strategies
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to production, inventory, and logistics
• Collaborating with the customer service team to resolve any issues or concerns related to orders or shipments
• Monitoring and analyzing market trends and consumer behavior to inform production and distribution decisions
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key customers and partners
• Participating in industry events and networking opportunities to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices
• Providing regular reports and updates to senior management on the status of production, logistics, and inventory
• Negotiating contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other partners
• Developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and vendors
• Analyzing market trends and customer data to inform production and distribution decisions
• Hiring, training, and managing a team of employees or contractors
• Coordinating with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods
• Overseeing warehouse and distribution operations, including the selection and management of third-party logistics providers
• Managing inventory levels and forecasting future demand to ensure sufficient stock levels
• Collaborating with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement promotions and campaigns
• Communicating with customers and partners to resolve any issues or concerns related to orders or shipments
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
• In terms of regulations, a fashion operations manager may be responsible for ensuring that the company's production and distribution operations comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as labor laws, environmental regulations, and safety standards. They may also need to ensure that the company's products meet quality and safety standards and are properly labeled and packaged.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degrees in Business Administration and Management or any other related field. A Master's Degree is an added advantage.
• A minimium of 2 years work experience in the same or similiar roles
• Hardworking and Creative
• Ability to manage a team of fashion designers and oversee the daily operations of the company.
• Good computer skills - eg microsoft office, excel and powerpoint.
