Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern for our client in the Real Estate sector to assist the Estate Surveyor.
The Intern will play a crucial role in supporting the Estate Surveyors in their day-to-day activities related to property management, valuations, acquisitions, disposals, and other real estate-related tasks.
The ideal candidate should possess excellent analytical skills, a strong understanding of real estate principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Property Management Support:
Assist in conducting property inspections, preparing reports, and recommending necessary maintenance or improvement works.
Maintain accurate records of property data, including lease agreements, rent payments, and tenant details.
Handle tenant inquiries, resolve issues, and coordinate with property management teams to ensure smooth operations.
Valuation and Appraisal Assistance:
Assist in conducting property valuations and appraisals using market data and industry standards.
Analyze comparable properties and market trends to determine property values.
Prepare valuation reports and present findings to senior Estate Surveyors.
Real Estate Market Research:
Conduct research on real estate market trends, property prices, and rental rates.
Gather and analyze data to provide insights into potential investment opportunities.
Property Acquisitions and Disposals:
Support Estate Surveyors in identifying potential properties for acquisition or sale.
Assist in conducting due diligence, including title searches, zoning, and environmental assessments.
Prepare reports and assist in negotiations with property owners or potential buyers.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of property-related activities.
Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and other relevant materials.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure efficient project coordination.
Compliance and Legal Support:
Assist in ensuring compliance with local real estate laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with legal teams on property-related contracts and agreements.
Requirements
A Degree in Estate Management, Real Estate, or a related field.
0 - 1 year of work experience.
Previous experience or internships in real estate, property management, or a related area is advantageous.
Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of local real estate laws and regulations is a plus.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret real estate market data.
Proficiency in using real estate management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in the real estate industry.
Salary
N50,000 monthly.
