Job Description
- The Learning and Development (L&D) Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales and fostering relationships with clients seeking tailored training and development solutions. This role involves identifying client needs, presenting solutions that align with their goals, and ensuring client satisfaction while contributing to the growth of the organization.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Learning and Development market.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, potential clients, and competitive offerings.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and feedback.
- Understand client needs and recommend tailored L&D solutions, including workshops, eLearning programs, and other training initiatives.
Product Knowledge and Presentation:
- Stay informed about the organization’s L&D offerings, including training modules, technologies, and industry trends.
- Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations to clients showcasing the value of L&D solutions.
Proposal Development:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals and pricing strategies for clients.
- Ensure proposals align with client objectives and organizational capabilities.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work closely with L&D consultants, instructional designers, and project managers to deliver high-quality training programs.
- Ensure seamless transition from sales to delivery for a positive client experience.
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate sales records and client data in CRM systems.
- Provide regular updates and sales forecasts to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in sales, preferably in L&D, HR services, or a related industry.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand client needs and articulate tailored solutions.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales software.
- Knowledge of L&D concepts, adult learning principles, and industry trends is an advantage.
