We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Verification and Background Check Specialist (Sales)

Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Verification and Background Check Specialist (Sales) is responsible for selling verification and background check solutions to businesses and organizations.
  • This role focuses on identifying client needs, providing tailored solutions, and driving revenue growth through consultative sales strategies.
  • The Specialist will act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring compliance and building strong, long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:

  • Identify and target prospective clients in industries such as HR, staffing, financial services, and education.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
  • Conduct outreach activities, including cold calls, emails, and networking events, to generate leads.

Client Consultation and Solution Design:

  • Understand client requirements for verification and background check services, such as employment history, criminal record checks, or education verification.
  • Present and recommend solutions tailored to client needs and compliance requirements.
  • Educate clients on the benefits of the organization’s offerings, including accuracy, speed, and data security.

Proposal and Negotiation:

  • Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and contracts for prospective clients.
  • Negotiate terms to close sales while maintaining profitability.
  • Handle objections and concerns to ensure client satisfaction.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client queries and ongoing service needs.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and address any concerns promptly.

Market and Industry Knowledge:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, legal regulations, and competitor offerings related to verification and background checks.
  • Provide insights to the product and marketing teams to enhance offerings and address market demands.

Reporting and CRM Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline opportunities in CRM systems.
  • Provide regular sales performance reports to management.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in HR services, compliance, or background verification industries.
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Skills:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand compliance regulations and their impact on client needs.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales management software.
