The Head of Holidays and Destinations will oversee the design, development, and execution of holiday packages and destination management services for both online and offline customers.
This role involves crafting innovative travel experiences, building strategic partnerships with stakeholders, and ensuring seamless service delivery.
The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the travel industry, expertise in destination marketing, and a proven ability to manage diverse teams.
Specific Responsibilities
Holiday Product Development:
Design and curate attractive holiday packages for various customer segments, including leisure, corporate, and group travelers.
Identify emerging travel trends and create offerings tailored to meet customer preferences.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging campaigns for holiday packages across digital and traditional channels.
Destination Management:
Establish partnerships with hotels, tour operators, airlines, and local destination management companies (DMCs) to ensure competitive pricing and quality services.
Develop and maintain a portfolio of exclusive destinations, offering customers unique travel experiences.
Ensure compliance with local regulations and sustainability practices for all destinations.
Strategic Planning and Revenue Growth:
Drive revenue growth by identifying opportunities to expand holiday and destination offerings.
Monitor performance metrics such as sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction to optimize products and pricing strategies.
Collaborate with the sales team to create B2C, B2B, and corporate holiday packages to boost market penetration.
Customer Experience and Service Delivery:
Ensure a seamless booking experience for customers on both online and offline platforms.
Monitor customer feedback and implement measures to enhance service quality and satisfaction.
Resolve escalations related to holiday packages and destination services promptly.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Lead, train, and motivate the holidays and destination team to achieve organizational goals.
Work closely with the operations, marketing, and sales teams to align product offerings with customer demands.
Foster a culture of innovation and excellence within the department.
Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
Conduct regular market research to understand customer preferences and emerging trends.
Analyze competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge in the holiday and destination market.
Stay updated on global travel trends, regulations, and industry developments.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in any field, Tourism, Hospitality, Business Management, or a related field.
A master’s degree or professional certification in tourism or destination management is an advantage
Experiencein reservations and ticketing within the travel industry is compulsory.
6+ years of experience in holiday and destination management, with at least 4years in a leadership role.
Proven success in developing and managing travel products for both online and offline platforms.
Proficiency in travel booking systems, CRM software, and data analytics tools.
Familiarity with online travel platforms and e-commerce strategies.
Strong understanding of the global travel industry, customer behavior, and destination trends.
Expertise in managing relationships with suppliers and DMCs.
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage cross-functional collaborations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement and negotiation.
