We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Systems Engineer

Location: Lagos

Role Description

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure.
• The ideal candidate will ensure our systems operate efficiently and securely while supporting business objectives through effective troubleshooting, optimization, system administration, technical support, and systems design on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities
System Design and Implementation:

• Design and deploy IT systems, including servers, networks, and software solutions, aligned with business needs.
• Configure and integrate hardware, software, and operating systems.

System Maintenance:

• Perform routine maintenance, updates, and patches to ensure system security and reliability.
• Monitor system performance and address potential issues proactively.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support to end-users and escalate unresolved issues to specialized teams.

Network and Security Management:

• Manage firewalls, routers, switches, and other network infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect organizational data and systems.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and incident resolutions.
• Prepare regular performance and usage reports with recommendations for improvement.

Optimization and Automation:

• Identify opportunities to optimize IT systems for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement automated processes to streamline operations.

Collaboration and Training:

• Work with cross-functional teams to integrate IT solutions with organizational workflows.
• Train employees on IT system usage and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills
Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, System Administration, Systems Design skills, or a related field. (Equivalent experience may be considered)

Experience:

• 4+ years in IT system engineering, administration, or a similar role

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in managing servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools.
• Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python).

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
