Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dynamic and highly organized HR/Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, manage human resources functions, and supportbusiness development initiatives for the Firm.
This role is pivotal in ensuring the firm operates efficiently, maintains a strong team culture, and grows its client base in alignment with our strategic goals.
The candidate will work directly with the Managing Partner of the Firm.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:
Oversee the firm’s daily administrative functions to ensure smooth operations.
Implement and optimize processes for case management, client intake, and internal workflows.
Manage office technology and systems, ensuring all tools are up-to-date and functioning effectively.
Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-efficiency.
Human Resources:
Lead recruitment efforts for legal and administrative roles, ensuring alignment with the firm’s culture and needs.
Develop and implement onboarding and training programs for new hires.
Manage employee performance evaluations, providing feedback and development plans.
Handle payroll, benefits administration, and ensure compliance with labor laws and policies.
Foster a positive workplace environment that supports employee engagement and retention.
Business Development:
Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the firm’s client base, including networking, partnerships, and referrals.
Develop and execute marketing initiatives, such as email campaigns, social media, and event sponsorships.
Track and analyze business development metrics to assess the effectiveness of growth strategies.
Collaborate with attorneys to prepare proposals, pitches, and other client-facing materials.
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
Contribute to the development and execution of the firm’s strategic goals.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve efficiency, profitability, and client satisfaction.
Act as a liaison between management, staff, and clients to ensure open communication and alignment.
Financial Oversight:
Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgets and financial planning.
Monitor and report on operational expenses, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Support the firm’s billing and collections processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, law, human resources, or a related field; advanced degree or certification is a plus.
4+ years of experience in operations, HR, or business development, preferably ( but not mandatorily)in a legal or professional services environment.
Strong understanding of law firm operations and business development strategies, is preferable but not mandatory
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in legal management software and office productivity tools.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
