Position Overview

• We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power Plant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our power plant.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power generation, particularly in the management and maintenance of Wartsila gas engines.
• This role requires effective handling of manpower, reporting, and ensuring smooth operations during shifts.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Power Report: Prepare and submit daily power generation reports, analyzing performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
• Shift Manpower Handling: Manage and coordinate personnel during shifts to ensure all operations are adequately staffed and tasks are completed efficiently.
• Operational Oversight: Responsible for the daily operational management of the power plant, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational protocols.
• Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in both low-tension (LT) and high-tension (HT) water circuits of engines to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Mechanical Proficiency: Apply basic mechanical knowledge to assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment, ensuring optimal performance of all machinery.
• Wartsila Gas Engine Maintenance: Oversee and execute maintenance procedures for Wartsila gas engines, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Engine Maintenance: Conduct maintenance on engine models 1k, 2k, and 4k, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Hands-On Experience: Engage in hands-on maintenance and repair work as needed, providing technical expertise and support to the team.

Qualifications

• B.Eng / BSc with 3 - 5 years experience.
• Proven experience in power plant operations, with a focus on gas engines.
• Strong understanding of engine maintenance practices, specifically for Wartsila engines.
• Ability to supervise a team and manage shift operations effectively.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to power generation equipment.

Salary
N300,000 monthly.
