Job Title: Psychosocial Support Facilitator

About the Job
The Psychosocial Support Facilitator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing psychosocial support activities and interventions. This role involves providing direct support to individuals, facilitating group sessions, and working closely with community members to enhance their coping skills and emotional well-being.
Main Responsibilities
The Psychosocial Support Facilitator will be responsible for the following, including those not listed but are extensions of those expressly stated:
Oversee the proper and safe filing of and archiving of CFS clients and activity report files to maintain data confidentiality.
Carry out task respecting key protection principles including but not limited to Do No Harm, Non-discrimination, confidentiality and accountability,
Create a weekly schedule of PSS recreational activities at the CFS.
Facilitate individual or group PSS activities where survivors can receive appropriate and confidential assistance.
Identify and strengthens community structures through engaging community leaders, women, youth groups as well as other stakeholders to ensure that survivors receive adequate support at the community level.
Identify other areas of needs and ensure that referrals for additional support are taken forward including emotional support, case management, legal support, cash assistance, and mental health services.
Use various structured games, well-being and learning activities tailored to children of different ages, gender, and abilities.
Ensure a safe, friendly, and joyful atmosphere for children in the CFS.
Make children feel comfortable, safe and respected.
Promote equal participation in all activities and fairness among children.
Be a positive role model and demonstrate non-conflict resolving behavior.
Record daily attendance of children at the CFS.
Monitor children’s behavior closely and report any signs of distress to social/case worker.
Reach out to parents of out-of-school children to remove barriers to education and liaise with education actors to facilitate enrollment into formal schools after completing PSS cycle.
Ensure the CFS is clean and organize and store all items safely at the end of the day.
Monitor community volunteer progress in assisting with CFS management and age-appropriate activities.
Support the protection officer in compiling child protection activity reports at the CFS.
Performs any other duties as required by protection officer.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field. (Master’s degree preferred).
Relevant certification or training in psychosocial support or counseling.
Proven experience (3years) in providing psychosocial support, including facilitation of group sessions and individual counseling
Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to lead workshops and training sessions.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data management and reporting tools.
