Job Description

  • We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager to help us drive growth, build relationships, and expand our reach in international markets.
  • You will be at the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
  • The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships across various industries.
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions for clients
  • Develop entry-level staff into valuable salespeople.

Requirements

  • BSc / BA in Business Administration, Sales, or a relevant field
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role
  • Proven sales track record
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Proficiency in English
  • Market knowledge (See our website for industries we serve)
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Creativity and adaptability to navigate diverse business challenges effectively.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven decisions.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in customer support is a plus
  • Familiarity with African markets, including cultural nuances and business practices, is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in additional African or international languages.
  • An established network of industry contacts and partners.
  • Experience with utilizing technology to enhance business development efforts.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate potential markets, partnerships, and business strategies.
