Job Description
The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving business growth by identifying and developing new market opportunities and building strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
This position requires a blend of strategic planning, sales and market research.
Job Responsibilities
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for:
Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities, market trends, and partnerships
Develop and execute strategies to achieve business growth targets.
Analyze market competition and identify areas for company advantage.
Analyze customer data and feedback to enhance service delivery and develop targeted solutions.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
Identify client needs and tailor solutions to meet those needs.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to clients.
Provide an analytical report for the development and execution of the business case, including feasibility studies and financial projections
Provide regular reports to the management team.
Work closely with internal teams (e.g., operations, finance) to align business development efforts, that drives customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth
Develop financial models to support project evaluation, budgeting, and investment decisions, ensuring accurate projections and data-driven decision-making.
Monitor project costs, performance metrics, and adherence to financial plans, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions to maintain financial health.
Identify and pursue grant opportunities for renewable energy initiatives, including preparing detailed proposals and complying with reporting requirements, ensuring alignment with funding criteria and organizational goals.
Design and implement comprehensive risk mitigation strategies utilizing financial, regulatory and market insights, ensuring the long-term success and stability of projects.
Assess both current and future projects, performing scenario analyses to uncover potential risks and opportunities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and maximizing project outcomes.
Develop and maintain relationships with grant agencies, donors and partners, fostering collaborations that enhance funding prospects and project success
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company’s brand and services
Requirements
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Renewable Energy, Sales or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Minimum 10 years experience in business development in an oil and gas servicing company (Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities
Strong data analysis with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and familiarity with analytical platforms such as Power BI or other related software.
Familiarity with grant application processes, budgeting, and compliance requirements.
Ability to build flexible and comprehensive reporting template
