We are seeking a motivated and driven Product Manager who will be responsible for the development, management, and success of travel products and services to generate profitable revenues for our company.
He/she will be responsible for all aspects relating to delivering a successful Product - Design, Sales, Marketing and Distribution.
Job Responsibilities
Negotiating competitive rates, exclusive inclusions and service-level agreements with suppliers.
Continually reviewing the performance of the product (sales/competitor analysis) and recommending strategies to gain market share whilst maintaining product margins.
Develop exclusive agreements where possible to facilitate the growth of the destinations.
Develop an innovative and well-presented product range which is reputable within the market and the intended audience.
Responsible for brochure development and brochure pricing.
Work with Operations and Product Delivery before each new season launch to review the operational instructions to the Tour Directors and suppliers to ensure smooth operation of the tour season.
Ensure Product Coordinators are loading rates and contracts into the contract system before the brochure release.
Serves as an expert on trendsetting practices in travel, social, e-commerce, and direct selling for the digital product suite to continue to develop new opportunities, including analysis and documentation of competitor and industry best practices globally
Track and analyze audience and engagement against industry benchmarks
Partnering with business unit customers, IT technology and support staff, Security & Risk Management and external clients and vendors to define and maintain the overall product portfolio
Driving the development of product strategies and roadmaps that are aligned with business objectives, customer demand, and enterprise architecture
Project managing the development of products, business-centric SLAs, and support client needs
Initiating projects to enhance product offerings to address new required business capabilities, product targets, and new technologies.
Leading continuous product improvement based on monitoring product performance, and input from service management teams and business unit customers.
Provide direction to and ensure development meets travel market requirements.
Job Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND qualification
Minimum of 3+ years experience in designing and developing travel and tourism products.
Minimum of 3+yearsr experience and knowledge in Product Management or Project Management
You have a solid knowledge of wire-framing/mock-up tools, and project and issue-tracking ticket systems, Redmine would be a plus.
You are well organized and proactive, you easily appropriate new topics and have experience working with many stakeholders in a matrix organization.
You have a good business understanding of the travel advertising landscape and players.
