Job Title: General Manager

Purpose of the Role
The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the broadcast organisation, ensuring seamless production, quality programming, strategic growth, and compliance with industry standards.
This role demands strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse teams to achieve organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
Collaborate with senior management to establish long-term vision and direction.
Drive innovation and adaptation to emerging industry trends and technologies.
Operations Management:
Oversee programming, production, marketing, sales, and administrative operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial health.
Content and Programming:
Oversee the creation and delivery of high-quality content that aligns with the organisation’s brand and audience expectations.
Ensure programming schedules are diverse, engaging, and meet target audience needs.
Monitor audience feedback and ratings to inform future content decisions.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead, mentor, and motivate teams across departments to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development programs.
Address workplace issues and implement solutions to improve team efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including advertisers, sponsors, regulatory bodies, and the community.
Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and other public forums.
Risk Management and Crisis Handling:
Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity.
Manage crises effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and reputation.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Media, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
7-10 years of experience in the broadcast or media industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
Proven track record of managing large teams and driving organisational success.
Experience in content development, audience engagement, and revenue generation.
Familiarity with broadcast regulations and compliance standards.

N150,000 - N200,000 / month.
