We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: General Manager

Location: Agbor, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Purpose of the Role

  • The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the broadcast organisation, ensuring seamless production, quality programming, strategic growth, and compliance with industry standards.
  • This role demands strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage diverse teams to achieve organisational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Leadership:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior management to establish long-term vision and direction.
  • Drive innovation and adaptation to emerging industry trends and technologies.

Operations Management:

  • Oversee programming, production, marketing, sales, and administrative operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and financial health.

Content and Programming:

  • Oversee the creation and delivery of high-quality content that aligns with the organisation’s brand and audience expectations.
  • Ensure programming schedules are diverse, engaging, and meet target audience needs.
  • Monitor audience feedback and ratings to inform future content decisions.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate teams across departments to foster a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement staff development programs.
  • Address workplace issues and implement solutions to improve team efficiency.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including advertisers, sponsors, regulatory bodies, and the community.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and other public forums.

Risk Management and Crisis Handling:

  • Identify and mitigate operational risks to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage crises effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and reputation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Media, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7-10 years of experience in the broadcast or media industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Proven track record of managing large teams and driving organisational success.
  • Experience in content development, audience engagement, and revenue generation.
  • Familiarity with broadcast regulations and compliance standards.

N150,000 - N200,000 / month.
