We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Graphic Designer

Location: Ogba / Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Part-time

What You’ll Do

• Create Graphics for Atlas and Learning Modules: Design interactive and visually appealing graphics for the digital atlas, educational modules, and GIS maps.
• Develop Visuals for the Platform: Create and manage images, icons, banners, and illustrations to enhance the user experience on the DigGeoNaija platform.
• Design Interactive Learning Materials: Produce engaging visuals for learning resources, including slides, infographics, and diagrams for educational purposes.
• Program Interactive Design Elements: Use programming knowledge to incorporate design elements into interactive features on the platform, enhancing user engagement.
• Maintain Consistent Branding: Ensure that all graphics and images align with the overall brand identity and contribute to a cohesive visual language.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work with developers, educators, and content creators to ensure designs align with educational goals and user needs.
• Handle Additional Creative Tasks: Take on other design-related tasks, such as promotional graphics, marketing materials, and social media assets.

Requirements

• Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree qualification with at least 1 year work experience.

What We Need:

• Design Expertise: Advanced skills in graphic design, including creating visuals for educational platforms, learning modules, and digital tools such as maps and atlases.
• Programming Knowledge: Proficiency in design programming languages or tools (such as HTML5, CSS, or JavaScript) to enhance interactivity and integrate graphics into digital platforms.
• Experience with Design Tools: Proficiency in design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Canva, CorelDRAW, and other design and prototyping tools.
• Creative Vision: Ability to create innovative and visually appealing designs for both educational materials and user-facing platforms.
• Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and consistency across all design projects, ensuring they align with DigGeoNaija’s branding and vision.
• Adaptability: Ability to take on other creative tasks as needed, including promotional graphics, social media assets, and marketing materials.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

• Programming Skills: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or other web design tools to integrate graphics into digital interfaces.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other creative tools.
• Experience in User Interface (UI) Design: Ability to create intuitive and engaging designs for websites or applications.
• Strong Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing previous work related to educational design, GIS, or digital platforms.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to understand project requirements and communicate design ideas clearly.

Additional Considerations:

• Ability to work collaboratively and handle multiple design projects simultaneously.
• Experience in interactive media or educational technologies is a plus.

Salary
N70,000 / month.
