Job Description
Our client seeks a seasoned and experienced General Manager with a strong background in the gaming sector, particularly in marketing and customer services.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for marketing the company’s gaming events to the international market, managing day-to-day operations, and ensuring strategic goals are achieved.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, this role requires exceptional leadership, international business acumen, and a results-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing and Business Development:
Develop and execute strategies to promote gaming events to the international market, driving global participation and partnerships.
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the gaming sector, including operators, regulators, vendors, and industry leaders.
Identify new revenue streams, sponsorship opportunities, and markets to expand the company’s footprint.
Represent the company at international gaming conferences, exhibitions, and forums to establish credibility and build networks.
Operational Leadership:
Oversee the daily operations of the Abuja office, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Monitor and evaluate team performance, providing mentorship and leadership to achieve optimal results.
Implement effective systems and processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and event delivery.
Event Management:
Collaborate with teams to plan, coordinate, and execute world-class gaming events that exceed client and attendee expectations.
Ensure timely and successful delivery of event projects within budget constraints.
Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee logistics for international participation.
Customer Service and Stakeholder Engagement:
Develop and implement customer service strategies to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
Serve as a liaison between the organization and international partners, ensuring seamless communication and relationship management.
Reporting and Strategy Alignment:
Prepare and present comprehensive reports on market trends, event performance, and operational metrics to the Chief Operations Officer.
Ensure all activities align with the company's vision, mission, and long-term strategic objectives.
Key Qualifications and Skills
Educational Requirements:
First Degree (Bs.c or HND) in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
MBA or equivalent advanced degree is an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in the gaming industry, particularly in marketing or customer services.
Proven track record in international business development and event management.
Experience in leading teams and managing complex projects.
Skills:
Exceptional marketing, sales, and negotiation skills.
Strong leadership and people management abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of global gaming trends and regulatory environments.
Other Requirements:
Ability to travel internationally as needed.
Strong networking skills and established industry contacts are highly desirable.
Salary
N200,000 - N230,000 Monthly.
