Job Title: HR/Admin Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Overview

  • The Senior Admin/HR Officer will lead the administrative and human resource functions, ensuring efficient operations, compliance with policies, and fostering a supportive work environment.
  • The ideal candidate will excel in payroll administration, employee management, and administrative tasks while driving innovation and organizational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and policies in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes, ensuring cultural and role alignment.
  • Manage employee relations, including performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Administer staff benefits programs, including health, leave, and recognition programs.
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.

Payroll Administration:

  • Oversee payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate salary disbursement.
  • Manage payroll-related documentation, including overtime, deductions, and bonuses.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and pension remittances.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly.

Training & Development:

  • Assess training needs and design programs to enhance employee skills and career growth.
  • Develop and maintain annual training plans and individual development plans.
  • Monitor training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.

Administrative Oversight:

  • Manage office operations, including procurement, maintenance, and inventory control.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all administrative activities.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and maintenance of office equipment.
  • Oversee facility management, ensuring a conducive work environment.

Performance Management:

  • Drive performance appraisals and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators to leadership.
  • Develop and implement career pathing and succession planning initiatives.

Budgeting & Compliance

  • Assist in the preparation and management of department budgets.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records for audits and compliance checks.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR and administration.
  • Proven expertise in payroll administration and labor law compliance.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and HRIS systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in project management and process improvement.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • High attention to detail and result-oriented mindset.

Salary
N177,000 - N224,000 per month.
