Job Title: People Operations Specialist

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• We are seeking a versatile People Operations Specialist to oversee all aspects of human resources and operations, ensuring smooth daily activities, optimal staff performance, and adherence to company standards.
• This role is critical to the seamless functioning and success of the restaurant/café.

Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management:
Recruitment and Onboarding:

• Oversee the hiring process, including job postings, interviews, and selection.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.

Employee Relations:

• Promote a positive work culture and resolve employee grievances promptly.
• Mediate conflicts and maintain workplace harmony.

Performance Management:

• Implement performance review processes and track employee growth.
• Provide constructive feedback and implement staff training programs.

HR Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate employee records.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Collaborating with the payroll team to ensure that all employee remunerations and deductionsare accurately processed.
• Maintain accurate records and data related to compensation and benefits for reporting and analysis purposes.

Operational Management:
Daily Operations:

• Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent service and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and optimize workflows for efficiency.

Staff Scheduling:

• Create and manage staff schedules to meet business demands while controlling labor costs.
•  Address last-minute changes or staffing issues proactively.

Inventory and Supplies:

• Collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure proper inventory management.
• Oversee procurement processes and vendor relationships.

Quality Control:

• Enforce high standards of food quality, hygiene, and customer service.
• Address and resolve customer complaints effectively.

Financial Oversight:

• Work closely with management to monitor budgets and control expenses.
• Provide regular operational reports and recommend improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in HR and operational management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR software (e.g., BambooHR, Paycom).
