Job Title: In-Country Coordinator
Location: Lagos
About the Role
In-Country Coordinator will work closely with the Regional Manager and the West Africa In-Country Manager, this position will support the conversion of international students recruited to Robert Gordon University from West Africa through engagement with its agent’s network, Alumni and social media.
You will play an important role in the improving RGU’s recruitment activity to address strategic objectives set out in the country plans to meet enrolment targets.
You will have the proven ability to work in a fast-paced sales or commercial environment and have excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
You will be able to work both independently and, in a team, and be able to manage multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.
You will also have experience of meeting ambitious targets in a competitive environment. This role in Navitas will focus directly under Robert Gordon University Program.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery:
Assist with the delivery of agent training sessions and materials, under the direction of the In-Country Manager
Support recruitment activity in country to drive objectives and contribute to the delivery of regional targets set by the Regional Manager
Contribute to relationship management between the University and partners through provision of administrative and facilitative support.
Ensure appropriate and prompt follow up action of enquiries, post event led generation to support conversion and future planning.
Assist to Develop innovative and creative ways to promote Robert Gordon University in the region designated market / region to improve recall and awareness of the University.
Deliver an efficient, friendly, and professional service for all partners and future students.
Complete conversion calling and submit reports to the ICO on daily basis.
Support social media content and alumni engagement when required.
Communication:
Assist to Develop and manage good working relationships with key influencers/stakeholders such as agents, future students, and colleagues across the University.
Maintain regular contact with the pipeline and keep it informed of applications’ progress, through calls, emails, and WhatsApp.
Liaise with staff in the Partnership team and across the University to deliver high-quality service to agents and continuously improve agents’ experience working with the University.
Agents:
Assist to Drive agent success through regular contact to ensure quality applications are being submitted to RGU.
Ensure the profile of Robert Gordon University is always positive in agent’s minds, through regular and comprehensive agent contact
Support the regular briefing of agents in country and compile relevant information for regular mailing and briefings to agents.
Help produce reports on agent performance by intake and over the course of their contract.
Provide an effective link between RGU’s agent network and relevant RGU departments such as Admissions.
Ensure accurate records are held by the University of its counsellor network by regularly updating key contact database to add/remove external colleagues as they take/exit roles
Monitor:
Help Capture trend analysis of common application problems, such as reason for rejection, delays etc and report on a regular basis to Regional Manager
Represent RGU according to the policies and guidelines set by the University.
Professionalism:
To act in a professional manor and uphold the mission statement of the University
To fully comply with data protection regulations and RGU’s code of ethics
To constantly act in the best interest of Robert Gordon University.
Requirements
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree
Ability to work within a small team to achieve or exceed common objectives or targets.
Proven track record in sales or business development, with a focus on meeting and exceeding recruitment targets.
Strong writing, public speaking, and presentation abilities in business-level English both written and spoken.
Strong ability to interpret data, make strategic decisions, and provide insights to enhance recruitment performance.
Ability to develop and nurture strong relationships with agents, university partners, and other stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new markets and changing environments while identifying opportunities for innovative recruitment initiatives.
Ability and willingness to travel in country and overseas.
Willingness to work weekends and evenings as required to support recruitment activities both locally and internationally.
Desirable:
Experience in Higher Education Sales
Experience with CRM Systems
Proven ability to monitor and evaluate recruitment success, ensuring that activities align with goals and are properly reported.
