Description
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, and developing new client relationships.
The BDM will work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to identify business opportunities, secure new clients, and increase revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Identify New Business Opportunities:
Research and analyze market trends to identify potential new markets, industries, or customers.
Generate leads through various sources such as networking, social media, cold calling, and referrals.
Develop and implement strategies to target new clients and industries.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with potential and existing clients.
Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations to understand client needs and offer appropriate solutions.
Ensure client satisfaction through excellent customer service and communication.
Sales Strategy Development:
Develop and execute business development strategies to meet sales targets.
Collaborate with the sales team to create tailored solutions for clients.
Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations to prospective clients.
Market Research and Analysis:
Conduct market research to understand competitive landscapes, industry trends, and customer needs.
Analyze business performance and provide feedback to leadership on potential growth areas.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, sales, and product development, to align strategies and initiatives.
Provide regular reports on business development activities, progress, and results to senior management.
Contract Negotiations:
Lead negotiations with potential clients, closing deals while ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
Draft and review contracts to ensure terms are favorable to the business.
Networking and Representation:
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build brand awareness.
Stay informed on industry developments and act as an ambassador for the company's brand.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or an MBA may be preferred.
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
Skills:
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Excellent relationship-building abilities.
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

N230,000 - N270,000 / Month
