Job Title: Legal - Compliance Officer

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• Ensuring the Company operates in a legal, regulatory, and ethical manner while meeting business objectives.
• Assisting the Organisation with the mitigation of regulatory and compliance risks as it applies to the business.
• Aiding the seamless operation of KYC, AML/CFT compliance programs etc.
• Providing relevant and timely support to the Organisation’s senior counsels.
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements.
• Monitoring internal compliance against internal policies, performance objectives and benchmarks.
• Staying updated with legislation changes, particularly relating to laws affecting the business and industry.

Requirements

• First Degree in Law.
• 3+ years post-NYSC relevant experience
• Available to resume IMMEDIATELY.
• Must reside in Lekki/Ajah axis(Please Do Not apply from the Mainland)
• Knowledge of corporate governance
• Basic experience with regulatory compliance and risk management
• Ability to adapt and thrive in rapidly-changing regulatory environments.
• Critical problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts and issues clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast team environment.
• Familiarity with dispute resolution steps.
