We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities
Design and Planning:

• Develop electrical plans and schematics for construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly.

Project Execution:

• Oversee the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution.
• Supervise contractors and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Testing and Maintenance:

• Perform system testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
• Implement maintenance strategies to ensure the longevity of electrical systems.
• Prepare documentation, such as as-built drawings and operation manuals.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure all electrical installations comply with safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures on-site.
• Stay updated on advancements in electrical engineering and construction technology.

Qualifications
Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master degree holder is an advantage.

Experience:

• 3–5 years of experience in construction or a related industry.
• Familiarity with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).

Certifications:

• Professional Engineer license.

Skills
Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in electrical design and simulation tools.
• Strong understanding of power systems, control systems, and renewable energy applications.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Project management and organizational skills.

Knowledge of Regulations:

• Understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
• Familiarity with energy efficiency standards and sustainable practices.
