Job Summary

• We are seeking a talented and creative Pastry Chef to lead the preparation of a variety of baked goods and desserts.
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to produce exceptional pastries that delight our customers.

Key Responsibilities
Pastry Preparation:

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, bread, and other baked goods.
• Develop new recipes and refine existing ones to ensure high-quality and innovative products.
• Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all baked items.

Menu Development:

• Collaborate with the team to create seasonal and special occasion menus.
• Stay updated on industry trends to introduce modern and creative pastry ideas.
• Cater to customer preferences, including dietary restrictions and custom orders.

Kitchen Operations:

• Manage daily pastry production and ensure timely preparation of orders.
• Maintain an organized and clean workstation, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Oversee the proper use and maintenance of kitchen equipment.

Inventory and Supplies Management:

• Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, ensuring adequate inventory.
• Coordinate with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients.
• Minimize waste by optimizing ingredient usage and storage.

Team Collaboration:

• Train and mentor junior pastry staff, providing guidance and feedback.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and consistency.
• Assist in special events or catering orders when needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years experience.
• Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or relevant role.
• Culinary degree or certification in pastry arts is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of baking techniques and pastry equipment.
• Creativity and artistic skills for dessert presentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Excellent time-management and organizational skills.

Salary
N70,000 - N80,000 / Month.
