Job Description
We seek a qualified and experienced Health and Safety Training Specialist to join Dexterous Applied Training Institute. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, engaging training programs, including the NEBOSH International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals (ID) and related courses, while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
This role involves evaluating training effectiveness, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and maintaining the institute’s reputation for excellence across health and safety courses and other programs offered.
Responsibilities
Training Delivery:
Develop and deliver engaging, interactive course materials and teaching slides aligned with the necessary standards for various health and safety courses as well as other courses that may be assigned.
Administer assessments and provide constructive feedback to learners.
Use technology effectively to enhance training delivery and learner engagement.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor and evaluate the quality of training delivery to ensure it meets global practices and regulatory standards.
Conduct regular reviews of course content and delivery methods, recommending updates or improvements where necessary.
Collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to audit training sessions and ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
Analyze training feedback and performance metrics to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
Report quality issues and training
Qualifications / Requirements
Must hold a NEBOSH International Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals (ID) or an equivalent recognized qualification in health and safety.
Minimum of BSc in Engineering and Science related courses.
Possession of an MSc in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field will be considered an advantage.
Relevant experience in the health and safety field, with a preference for teaching/training experience.
Membership in a relevant professional body is highly preferred.
Demonstrated relevant experience in health and safety, with a preference for teaching/training experience.
Must have a strong understanding of and experience with the NEBOSH ID syllabus.
Ability to deliver single units of the NEBOSH Diploma if holding qualifications or experience specific to those units
