Job Title: Reservoir Geologist
Location: Rivers
Job Description
As part of our expansion, we are looking to hire a Reservoir Geologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will conduct in-depth geological review studies by analyzing and interpreting a variety of geological datasets, including seismic surveys, well logs (such as E-logs and master logs), and core data.
You will also integrate these with dynamic datasets, including production trends, pressure test results, and fluid property analyses.
Your work will aim to accurately quantify hydrocarbons in place, identify reservoir heterogeneities, and develop optimized strategies for reservoir management and field development, all with the goal of maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and ensuring sustainable
Job Responsibilities
Plan and execute detailed geological evaluations, including interpretation, stratigraphic correlation, mapping, and structural cross-section analysis.
Develop and implement field appraisal and development well plans, near-field resource maturation strategies, and formulate optimum field development plans to maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
Design and construct reservoir geological models through systematic and integrated reservoir studies, leveraging sedimentology, facies analysis, seismic information, and petrophysical data.
Prepare and interpret geological cross-sections, structural and facies maps, and other geological representations, including 3D structural and static models.
Conduct seismic interpretation and integrate geophysical data, such as attribute maps, frequency decomposition extractions, seismic inversion, and AVO studies, to support reservoir characterization, well placement, and work-over opportunities.
Generate property maps to understand reservoir heterogeneity, fluid flow, and connectivity, and support the creation of Iso-property maps for development planning.
Supervise and perform advanced geological studies, including reservoir geometry analysis, well correlation, integrated petrophysical characterization, facies and petrophysical parameter modeling, and hydrocarbon volume estimation.
Lead reservoir modeling efforts to provide input for dynamic simulation and optimize field development strategies.
Evaluate and interpret core data, fluid properties, and pressure data to support enhanced reservoir characterization and production planning.
Conduct regional exploration basin studies, including petroleum system analysis, prospect maturation, and risk assessment for new exploration opportunities.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (geophysicists, reservoir engineers, and petrophysicists) to ensure integration of geological data into development and operational strategies.
Identify and recommend infill drilling, recompletion, and work-over opportunities to maximize field performance and recovery factors.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior geoscientists, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development within the team.
Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation for management, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
Stay updated on advancements in geological tools, software, and methodologies to ensure the use of best practices in geological evaluations.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and company policies during all geological activities.
