We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accountant

Location: Owerri, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

• Daily Accounting Activities: Evaluate and manage daily accounting functions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Journal Entries: Prepare and record journal entries while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
• Financial Statements: Compile and present comprehensive financial statements for review.
• Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring adherence to compliance regulations.
• Accounts Payable Management: Manage accounts payable in accordance with contract terms with vendors and suppliers.
• Budget Contributions: Assist in formulating budgets for monthly purchases, ensuring alignment with financial goals.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience, including ICAN certification.

Skills:

• Strong mathematical and numerical aptitude.
• Excellent organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Retail Man, and other accounting software.
• Effective communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Critical thinking skills.
