Center for Advocacy, Transparency and Accountability Initiative (CATAI), established in 2018, is registered as an NGO with Head Office in Maiduguri - Borno State. We have been visible in Borno Adamawa and Yobe states implementing projects in protection, community empowerment, livelihood, environment, health, peace building, education and governance. We are currently implementing the ECW-MYRP Project year 3. Operationalize a Complain Feedback Mechanism at facility and community levels.
Ensure the confidentiality, transparency, and proper documentation of all feedback and complaints.
Guide beneficiaries in lodging complaints or providing feedback, ensuring their privacy and dignity are maintained.
Maintain Complaint registration and sharing to the central CFMC focal for urgent response and follow-up.
Communicate outcomes and responses effectively to beneficiaries and communities.
Maintain an organized database for tracking resolved and pending complaints with appropriate follow-up.
Liaise with relevant stakeholders, including local authorities and service providers, to resolve issues outside the scope of the facility.
Participate in camp-level accountability and information-sharing coordination meetings.
Actively advocate for and integrate the four pillars of accountability—information sharing, participation, feedback mechanisms, and continual learning—into program delivery to ensure services are transparent, inclusive, and adaptive to community needs.
Provide clear, context-sensitive communication to beneficiaries, ensuring they fully understand program services, their rights, and the mechanisms available for them to provide feedback or seek assistance.
Educate beneficiaries about their rights, emphasizing the protection of their privacy and the value of their feedback, fostering trust and confidence in the program’s commitment to accountability.
Establish and maintain an linkage with other sectors, ensuring relevant sectoral -related issues/feedback are referred efficiently and beneficiaries are connected to the appropriate support.
Provide consistent appropriate advice and information/ counseling to participants through facility helpdesks and household visits, addressing concerns and guiding them to access services effectively.
Identify and actively address obstacles preventing community members from accessing the feedback and accountability system, prioritizing inclusivity.
Organize and promote opportunities for communities to share experiences, concerns, and challenges with the Complaint Feedback and Response Mechanism (CFRM), ensuring continuous improvement and stronger engagement.
Support the MEAL team in planning and implementing AAP scaling up, including linking feedback with programmatic improvements, conducting sessions on community feedback analysis, and fostering a learning environment to drive evidence-based decision-making.
Read and ensure a full understanding of CATAIs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary;
Implement all work-related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries;
Ensure the incorporation of PSEA and gender equity principles in all policies and activities;
Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Demographics, Computer Science, IT, or any other relevant equivalent degree is required. A Master’s degree is an added advantage
Minimum of 2 years previous experience working with National and international NGOs.
Minimum of 3 years experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Accountability in the humanitarian context.
Experience in implementing NHF-funded
The ability to develop Maps and infographics is an added advantage
Skills and Competency:
Proficiency in the use of MS Excel or other statistical packages e.g SPSS, STATA-12, PowerBI etc)
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work within a team setting
Independence, adaptability and flexibility
Demonstrated experience in database management
Strong group process design and facilitation skills, including developing and leading workshops
Strong data collection, analysis, and report writing using visualization is required.
Ability to work independently, think analytically and take initiative in solvingproblems.
