We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT Engineer

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

• Manage the AMI/HES infrastructure facilities, systems, and servers to run effectively and efficiently and provide backend support for all Vendors.

Responsibilities

• Installing and maintaining AMI/HES operating environments which include server provisioning, database and application configuration.
• Monitoring the operating environments.
• Responding effectively and speedily to any escalated issue reported by our clients.
• Maintaining a professional behavior with clients and colleagues.
• Providing training and support where necessary to clients.
• Ensuring operating environments stay safe and secure.
• Updating software and hardware where necessary.
• Documenting all reported malfunctions and actions taken in response.
• Perform and test routine system backups and restores.
• Ensure the security of the server infrastructure by implementing industry-leading practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain documentation about current environment setup, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
• Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and correct hardware and software issues on servers, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware upgrades and patch management.

Key Performance Indicators

• High availability of core HES/AMI Infrastructure and services
• Incident ≥95% and Service Request SLA achievement ≥90%

Requirements

• Minimum requirement: B.Sc in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics or a related field
• Added advantage: M Sc in a related discipline or MBA
• Minimum requirement: 2 years System Administration cognate experience in a similar environment
• Added Advantage: familiar with Nutanix, O365 & Azure environment management

Professional (Memberships & Certifications):
Minimum Requirements:

• MCSE, ITIL Foundation Added Advantage: CISSP or CISA
• Good knowledge of IT Service Delivery
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Good communication skills
• Good managerial skills
• Exposure to high voltage electricity from.
