We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Telemarketing Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Description 

  • A Telemarketing Officer is responsible for promoting products or services and generating sales leads through outbound calls. The role involves building customer relationships, understanding their needs, and persuading them to make purchases or take specific actions. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, persistence, and a sales-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities
Outbound Calling:

  • Make outbound calls to potential or existing customers from a provided database.
  • Present and explain company products or services to customers.

Lead Generation and Sales:

  • Identify customer needs and offer solutions to meet those needs.
  • Generate sales leads and convert them into sales or pass them to the relevant team.

Customer Engagement:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through effective communication.
  • Handle customer inquiries and objections professionally and confidently.

Follow-Up:

  • Conduct follow-up calls to nurture leads or complete sales processes.
  • Remind customers of promotions, deadlines, or special offers.

Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions, including call logs, customer details, and outcomes.
  • Update CRM systems regularly to track progress and manage the customer pipeline.

Performance Management:

  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly call and sales targets.
  • Actively participate in training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.

Feedback and Reporting:

  • Provide customer feedback to the marketing or product development teams to improve offerings.
  • Prepare and submit performance reports to supervisors as required.

Qualifications and Skills
Experience:

  • Previous experience in telemarketing, sales, or customer service is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Persuasive and confident with the ability to handle objections.
  • Proficiency in using telemarketing software, CRM systems, and basic computer applications.

Attributes:

  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Positive attitude and resilience under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
