Job Title: Gatekeeper

Location: Jos, Plateau

Job Summary

• The Gatekeeper is responsible for controlling access to the premises, ensuring the safety and security of the property, and greeting visitors in a professional and courteous manner. This role involves monitoring entry points, maintaining records of visitors, and adhering to company security protocols.

Key Responsibilities
Access Control:

• Manage the entry and exit of vehicles, visitors, and personnel.
• Check identification and log visitors or deliveries as required.
• Ensure only authorized individuals are permitted to enter the premises.

Surveillance & Monitoring:

• Monitor activities around the gate and report any suspicious behavior or security concerns.
• Inspect vehicles or packages as per company policies.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries.
• Prepare and submit daily logs or incident reports to management.

Customer Service:

• Greet visitors, employees, and delivery personnel politely.
• Provide directions or basic information to visitors while maintaining security protocols.

Safety & Emergency Response:

• Respond promptly to emergencies and alert the relevant authorities or management.
• Follow established procedures during fire alarms, medical emergencies, or other crises.

Qualifications
Education:

• SSCE or equivalent.

Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience as a gatekeeper, security guard, or similar role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain vigilant and respond promptly to situations.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, sit, or remain at the gate for extended periods.
• Capability to lift or handle packages or barriers if required.

Work Environment

• Work involves being outdoors, often in varying weather conditions.
• Include evenings, weekend, or holiday.
• 2 days off work monthly

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with security protocols and basic surveillance systems.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols

Salary
N40,000 / month.
