Job Title: Trade Operations Analyst
Requisition ID: MEL1118 Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Job Purpose
The Trade Operations Analyst is responsible for monitoring marine operations for vessel loading and discharge.
This role involves providing real-time updates to the team, managing licenses and permits, liaising with industry stakeholders, and preparing and submitting all necessary documentation to facilitate smooth vessel discharge operations.
Additionally, the position ensures the timely procurement of required certifications, monitors oil price trends, and executes other tasks as directed by management.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Monitor Loading and Discharge marine operations and give hourly update to the Team.
Ensure that all our licenses and permits are updated and renewed before expiry, to ensure that all time we are cargo import ready.
Liaising with all stakeholders in the industry (NMDPRA, SON, VENDORS) and other Statutory bodies in the downstream sector, to ensure that we have a good standing relationship with all government agencies.
To submit NOAs to NMDPRA for all our Vessel Discharges via their VCCP portal, and to ensure that the Clearances are gotten on time prior to discharge of Vessel
To work with our Lagos Depot Ops Team to ensure our Lagos Vessel Discharges mandates are gotten timely prior to discharge of vessel.
Ensure all required documents for submission of Product certificate application are gotten immediately after the discharge of Vessel e.g., NMDPRA Certificate of Quantity, SGD, Suppliers Letter etc. And send to the Unit Lead for processing.
To apply for SON Import Permit and Activation of Import Permit for the Processing of PAAR for import cargoes
Ensure that BL documents are obtained timely within 12 – 24hours after documents have been signed for all NNPC Loadings, signed, and dispatched out
Ensure that documents for operations are complete and detail check list of all requirements are kept after completion of cargo operations.
Process all Vendor Invoices within quality time via the ERP platform
Send updated daily, weekly and monthly trade reports, NMDPRA truck out reports weekly among others
Ensure that documents required for clearance with various regulatory authorities are complete for each operation.
Generate trade project cards for all transactions
Generate cargo costing for each transaction via ERP
Monitor international prices for Oil and its derivatives
Ensure accurate details are contained in the files using the family tree and that authentic information are circulated.
Any other assignment as given by your Team Lead or Management.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in marine operations.
A first degree in Science/Engineering related field.
Solid understanding of safety regulations and operational processes in the downstream sector.
Familiar with inventory management systems.
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel.
Knowledge of business (Matrix Energy)
Experience in strategic planning and execution.
