Job Title: French Teacher

Location: Abeokuta, Ogun

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons to students of various ages and proficiency levels in French.
• Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the French curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and institutional goals.
• Assessment and Feedback: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and use data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment that promotes student engagement, motivation, and respect for others.
• Cultural Immersion: Integrate French culture, history, and literature into lessons to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the language and its context.
• Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and guardians to ensure students receive consistent support and guidance.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in French, Education, or a related field, and a teaching certification or qualification (e.g., B.Ed, B.Sc).
• Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in French, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Teaching Experience: Proven teaching experience in French, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes.
• Cultural Competence: Familiarity with French culture, customs, and history, with the ability to integrate this knowledge into lessons.
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including new curriculum developments and innovative teaching methods.

Work Environment:

• School Setting: Typically employed by a secondary school, sixth form college, or further education institution.
• Classroom Environment: Teach in a well-equipped and well-maintained classroom, with access to technology and resources to support teaching and learning.
• Collaborative Team: Work as part of a collaborative and supportive team of teachers, with opportunities for professional development and growth.

Salary
N70,000 - N90,000 / Month.
