Job Summary
The Training, Education, & Social Media Manager will oversee the development and implementation of training programs, manage educational initiatives, and lead social media strategies for LAJ Aquaculture.
This role aims to drive both internal employee development and external brand awareness through targeted training, educational resources, and social media engagement.
The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator with experience in developing training content, managing educational projects, and leveraging social media platforms to promote the company’s mission and activities.
Key Responsibilities
Training & Education Responsibilities
Employee Training & Development:
Design, implement, and manage comprehensive training programs for new and existing employees, ensuring skills development in aquaculture, finance, HR, and other operational areas.
Evaluate training needs and monitor training effectiveness through feedback and performance assessments.
Develop and deliver workshops, seminars, and online courses to foster employee growth and professional development.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in training programs.
Educational Partnerships:
Develop partnerships with educational institutions to create internship programs, collaborative research, and industry-specific learning modules.
Promote employee learning opportunities through external certifications and training programs in aquaculture and related fields.
Content Development:
Create educational content (manuals, guides, videos, and presentations) to support internal training and employee knowledge.
Update and maintain training materials to ensure relevance and accuracy.
Performance Monitoring:
Track employee progress through regular assessments, feedback, and performance metrics to measure training effectiveness.
Adjust training strategies and content based on feedback and performance evaluations.
Social Media Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy Development:
Create and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engage with the community, and promote LAJ Aquaculture’s initiatives.
Manage social media channels to highlight company activities, achievements, and industry insights, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and others.
Content Creation & Campaign Management:
Develop engaging content such as posts, videos, and graphics to share on social media platforms.
Planned and managed social media campaigns, tracking performance and adjusting strategies to optimise engagement and reach.
Community Engagement:
Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries across social media platforms, fostering a positive and interactive community around the brand.
Promote LAJ Aquaculture’s values, sustainability initiatives, and social impact through regular posts and updates.
Branding & Awareness:
Collaborate with marketing and public relations teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all platforms.
Increase the company's visibility by leveraging social media for PR campaigns, announcements, and collaborations.
Reporting & Analytics:
Monitor and analyse social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and content.
Provide reports to management on social media engagement, audience growth, and ROI.
Additional Responsibilities:
Develop and implement internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement through newsletters, emails, and updates.
Support the Managing Director and other departments in creating educational and promotional content as needed.
Stay current with trends in social media, education, and aquaculture to incorporate innovative ideas into company strategies.

Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Communications, Marketing, Social Media Management, or a related field.
At least 4 years of experience in training, education management, and social media marketing, with a proven track record in creating engaging content and driving online engagement.
Familiarity with social media platforms, analytics tools, and content management systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to design and develop effective educational programs and materials.
Creative and innovative approach to social media content creation.
Knowledge of the aquaculture industry and an understanding of sustainability practices is a plus.
Working Hours & Breaks:
Full-time Option: Standard working hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (5 days a week).
Part-time Options:
1 day per week (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
Flexible working options are negotiable, with hours adjusted according to company needs.
Breaks: Employees are allowed breaks for religious activities during the workday, integrated as part of the overall working schedule, as per the company’s policy. Break times will be mutually agreed upon with the managing director to ensure continuity of operations.
Salary
The salary will be benchmarked against the current minimum wage in Nigeria (NGN 70,000), with a 25% managerial allowance added for the Training, Education & Social Media Manager role:
Current Minimum Wage Benchmark: NGN 70,000 monthly
Managerial Allowance: 25% of the minimum wage, totalling NGN 17,500
Total Monthly Salary: NGN 87,500 (for full-time)
Part-time roles will be paid pro-rata, with salaries adjusted according to the reduced working hours.
